Kids Storytelling Yoga & Picnic in the Park

Join us in an exclusive parent-child yoga event on the 30th May (Sunday), in collaboration with SPRMKRT. Engage in a fun, storytelling yoga session designed just for kids (ages 3-8). Move through a tale that teaches love, generosity, peace and friendship – this meaningful yoga experience is designed for kids and parents to have lots of fun together while enjoying the benefits of yoga. To top it off, end with a delicious breakfast spread by SPRMKRT that can be enjoyed anywhere in the park with your little one. Please note that due to COVID-restrictions, we can only allow ONE accompany parent per child. Please bring your own mats and picnic blankets for this event.* 

*After the Yoga practice, you are welcome to take your picnic spreads anywhere else in the gardens or home with you.

In partnership with SPRMRKT, the event will take place at Eco -Lake, Botanic Gardens. The event is led by Urban Yogis co-founder, Kathy Gabriel. 

9.00 – 10.45 am – Storyteling Yoga

10.45 am onwards – Breakfast Picnic in the park


The sessions follows a story and will incorporate different yoga postures. Accompanying parent will participate with child.

Important Information:

Event is weather-dependent. In case of rain and thus cancellation, we will offer a class credit for our existing outdoor classes. You will still be able to collect your picnic spread by SPRMKRT on the day itself.

Please note that we will remain socially distanced at all times. 

Booking Policy: Bookings close 1 day prior to event day to ensure kitchen has enough time to prepare for picnic spread

Cancellation Policy: Kindly note that due to the current situation resulting in limited spots, we are unable to offer refunds for this event. To cancel your booking, please write in directly.

Meeting Point:

The meeting point is in front of “BUKIT TIMAH GATE” (Botanic Gardens MRT exit A – Cluny Court Exit) at 8.50 am together with your teacher, you will walk to ECO LAKE, our practice location. Please arrive on time so that the class can start promptly at 9.00 am.

    Kathy Gabriel is a Yoga teacher, Craniosacral Therapist & Bodyworker licensed under Pacific Association of Craniosacral Therapists (PACT). Although yoga and complementary health was always in her family, she only picked up yoga as teenager during a period of spiritual seeking. She initially sought out Buddhism and meditation out in order to process her grief. Through the years, her understanding of health and wellness began to expand and it was through a holistic practice, she learned how to found solace, ease and balance to move through the different seasons of life. She is deeply passionate about sharing this practice with others, helping them navigate their own journey through the belief that all that one ever needs lies within.
