Community Masterclass: Myofascial Release
MYOFASCIAL RELEASE FOR THE FRONTLINE OF THE BODY
The front side of the body holds us upright everyday, holding on to a lot of stress from accommodating our less optimal postural habits, resulting in tightness and weaknesses from top to bottom.
Poor posture, sedentary life style, driving, and texting etc tend to make us round our upper back, which leaves the pectoral muscles tight and weak. Sitting, standing, and walking keeps the hip flexors constantly working. Tightness in this area can affect the health of our hips and spine. When stress and anxiety kick in, we may not even realize how much clenching we do in the jaws. Releasing this area can help alleviate stress in other areas of the head and neck, as well as the rest of the body as a whole.
In this workshop, we tackle common areas of tension in the front line of the body. You will be guided through a series of yoga poses to retrain the muscles to lengthen, strengthen and fire more efficiently. The network tissues are all connected via the fascial system, working on any part of this frontline muscles will improve range of mobility and alleviate restricted movements in your body.
