November is all about GRATITUDE! Gratitude is a positive emotion that is born out of the ability to see the brighter side regardless of the struggles and the downturns that meet us along our complex journey in life. It’s the ability to look to our strengths even as we acknowledge our weaknesses; to see the things we CAN do despite the things we cannot do; to recognize what we have in spite of what we have not. Gratitude is a power behind perseverance. This month, we take these elements into our practice on the mat, to bring attention to the amazing feats that we conquer every day, whether large or small, and to bring our attention to the things that we don’t often pause to be thankful for, like breath, mobility, sensations, emotions, and everything else that are unique to being alive and of being human.
URBAN YOGA (previously Pop Up Yoga) was set up with the idea of building a community for likeminded individuals and with the firm belief that yoga should be inclusive and accessible to everyone! For the love of health and wellness, URBAN YOGA is an approach to give people more opportunities to explore this beautiful practice. The first in Singapore, URBAN YOGA is an initiative, a movement, to allow more in the same community to meet, inspire and sustain each other in the path to leading a healthier and happier lifestyle.
